Pattie has been selling real estate since 1974. She has been exposed to every marketplace…buyer’s market, seller’s market, and everything in between. Her best year in real estate was in 1980 when interest rates were at a record high of 16%. If you can sell real estate in that type of market, you can sell it ANYTIME.
In 1974, Pattie earned her B.A. in Communication Arts & Sciences with a minor in English from Rosary College in River Forest, Illinois. After several years of teaching High School Theater and Speech classes, directing all the school plays and musicals, Pattie decided she wanted to try her hand in sales. Pattie's fascination with architecture and her love for working with people to help fulfill their needs led to a career in Real Estate.
Quickly the top listing and selling agent in Coldwell Banker-Thorsen’s Glen Ellyn office at the age of 22, Pat decided to further her real estate education by pursuing her GRI designation and Broker’s license. Additionally, she has taken courses in finance and appraisal to further her knowledge of the industry.
In 1982, Pattie enrolled full-time in a joint study program at John Marshall Law School and Rosary College to obtain her law degree and MBA. Between classes and preparation for the bar exam, Pattie continued to sell real estate while maintaining her status as a “top producer” at Coldwell-Banker.
In 1985, Pattie graduated with honors from John Marshall Law School with a Juris Doctor and from Rosary College with a Masters Degree in Business Administration.
Pattie is a full-time Broker Associate with BHHS Chicago, (Formerly Seery & Keim many years ago) in Glen Ellyn. She is consistently ranked in the top 1% of Realtors in the Glen Ellyn/Wheaton market, as well as a top producer within BHHS Chicago. She also practices real estate law in the specialized area of development and contract law. She has developed and built homes as a General Contractor in the Glen Ellyn area and her company is known as Renaissance Homes. She is a luxury home marketing whiz, having listed and sold numerous high end and exclusive homes. She has a keen eye for design and staging, and many of her listings have sold within just days with her staging and decorating suggestions!
Pattie works tirelessly, and never gives up, no matter how difficult a transaction can be. She takes all the time needed to make sure all parties are informed and comfortable throughout the selling process.
In 2015, Pattie was confirmed to practice law before the United States Supreme Court - An honor and experience she will never forget! Pattie loves to travel and spend time with her two darling grandsons!
In 2020, a year of economic uncertainty revolving around the COVID-19 Pandemic, Pattie's sales volume INCREASED roughly 35% from years past. She is consistently thinking of new sales approaches and tools for her marketing. She can switch gears and adapt to any sales situation.
Through hard work, backed by experience and knowledge, Pattie gets the job done.
